Dear Friend,

Saturday, we celebrate Armed Forces Day.  The day was created in 1949 to honor Americans serving in the five U.S. military branches – the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard.  Celebrations typically include parades, open houses, receptions, and air shows. Over 3,000 military personnel participate, along with thousands more family members of our service men and women.

We know the sacrifices that our soldiers make when they serve our nation. I have seen that myself as I commanded American troops over three decades. Because of that, I know how important it is that our country has the kind of leaders that appreciate and understand the freedoms that our brave soldiers fight to defend.

I don’t do politics, but Michael Williams is an extraordinary candidate for an extraordinary time. That is why I have endorsed him in his campaign to be the next United States Senator from the great state of Texas.

I feel so strongly that Michael is the leader we need in the Senate that I am also serving as his National Campaign Chairman. Michael Williams will fight to restore our government to its founding principles. He is a man of integrity, honesty, and his love for this country cannot be measured.

If you believe, as I do, that Michael Williams is the courageous conservative leader we need to help restore this nation, will you join me in making a secure online contribution to his campaign?

My life has always been about protecting America, and it saddens me to see her led adrift, in danger of losing what makes us unique and special.  At the same time, I am deeply optimistic for our country’s future because of extraordinary leaders like Michael Williams. Michael often speaks of “American exceptionalism” and restoring our national sense of purpose of never relenting in the pursuit of freedom. We need him in the United States Senate.

I know that Michael will always provide the troops the resources they need. And he will never support our troops serving under any flag, except our own.

Armed Forces Day reminds us of the missions all over the world that our brave men and women and their families commit to. We all have our missions in life.  Michael knows that his is to bring to Washington moral clarity and a restoration of America’s greatness by preserving our God-given freedoms, protected by the Constitution.

Michael will not be an ordinary Washington politician. Trust me – I know. I have spent a lot of my time in Washington, D.C. and other places talking to politicians. Michael is different, and he just happens to be right down my alley.

I couldn’t be prouder of Michael, or of serving as his National Campaign Chair. Please join me in sending him the reinforcements he needs to become your next U.S. Senator.

Sincerely,

Gen. Tommy Franks (Ret.)

P.S. As I like to say, freedom ain’t free… but it is worth whatever it costs.  I love America, and so does Michael Williams.  He is running for U.S. Senate because he believes in the founding principles of our republic and has a soldier’s attitude toward defending our freedom.  That is why I have signed on as his campaign chairman – and why I am urging you to send him your most generous financial gift today.  Thank you.
